I think I have some talent in the art of natural photography, I have taken over 1000 images in the December, I expect at least a third will be usable images with minimal proccessing and I am yet to even cover my costs.
If I printed this image A2 size on quality canvas, framed and signed it, would anyone actually buy it and how much would they pay?
Would anyone look at this image and like retain my services to create an artwork just for them?
Is there actually a way I can earn an income with my abilities?
Does my art have any actual worth in the modern world?
I enjoy creating it and some have said they enjoy viewing my images. Will it put food on the plates of myself and my loved ones?
Have I spent my life studying the wrong things?
Should I learn to paint instead?

The flower is a Kakadu Waterlily. I am the luckiest man alive because I was there when this photo was captured
Professional photography is all about the right connections.
If you don't know the right people then getting into the industry is very hard. Also shooting multiple things only thins out your chances of getting a job. You need to focus more on a specific type of photography to increase your skill in that range.
Once you've established yourself then by all means feel free to dabble in other type of photography. Using photography as a means of income is a very hard field to get into and it can be very frustrating.
As for the above image, in my opinion, there is quite a bit of noise which could be fixed by lowering the ISO, not sure if it was done in post processing but the saturation seems far too high.
Either way, good luck with your venture. Wish you all the best
